Place of Welcome

St Mary’s Church a place of welcome

From the 23rd October 2017 St Mary’s is becoming a place of welcome, what does this mean?

Places of welcome is a growing network of hospitality run by local community groups, who want to make sure that everyone in their area has a friendly place to go for a friendly face, a cup of tea or coffee and a conversation if and when they need it. Places of welcome is a network of small community organisations, including faith communities, who offer an unconditional welcome to local people for at least a few hours a week.

St Mary’s is now joining this organisation and we will be open every Monday between 1-3pm (excluding Bank Holidays). It is open to everyone, so please drop in, offering,

  • Friendship and hospitality

  • Regular opening at the same time each week  (Excluding Bank Holidays)

  • A place where people actively listen to one another

  • Come and join us for a cup of tea/coffee, biscuits and a chat

  • We cannot offer existing support or legal advice.

Looking forward to meeting you.
